The EU should not now consider the question of lifting sanctions against Russia – Merkel
The EU should not be considered at the present time the question of lifting sanctions against Russia, because at this stage it is not fully implemented Minsk agreement to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, said in an interview with German media group RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland (RND) German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"Europe must respond to the violation of basic principles (of the Minsk agreements) … This is the main reason for the future of sanctions"- said the Chancellor.
At the same time, Angela Merkel stressed that she and French President Fransua Olland "struggling to work with Ukraine and Russia to Minsk agreements are respected, in spite of all the difficulties".
